THE ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE FIELD
The current appearance of the field of children's hematology and oncology has been formed for several decades.
The care of children with malignancies was originally devoted to two separate disciplines - haematology and oncology. In order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of paediatric patients in accordance with global trends, a separate attestation specialization called "Children´s Haematology and Oncology" was established in the Czech Republic in 2009.
