The Foreigner´s department helps patients who are foreigners or czech self-payers to get the health care they need. If you belong to this category, the Foreigners` department is the first place you should visit in the hospital.
What services does the Foreigner´s department provide?
- Based on your request or recommendation, we can provide you a visit to specialized departments within the hospital.
- If you don`t speak Czech, we will help you to find interpreting or translation services.
- We resolve all administrative matters relating to payment of the health care provided here.
- We can help you to get the medical check-up necessary for arranging health insurance.
- We will verify the range of your insurance.
- In the Foreigner´s department you can get information about above-standard services.
University Hospital Motol is one of the biggest hospitals in the Middle Europe. It has three main parts, hospital for children, hospital for adults and centre for long term hospitalized patients. In Czech republic we have a public system of health insurance. University Hospital Motol is a state hospital and therefore are almost all the medical expenses covered by patient`s public insurance. If you are not an owner of czech insurance (card), you have to check-in in the Foreigner´s department first. It is a place where you can find out way of coverage best for you, you can get directions, we can help you to arrange an appointment with a doctor etc. You can find further information on our site.
You can find us on the ground floor of the hospital for adults, on the left side of the main entrance. You need to visit us every time you are going to see a doctor in our hospital (except emergency, then you can go straight to the ER).
