Basic information
- The dermatology (skin) department for children provides care for patients aged 0-18. It deals with the diagnosis, treatment and dispensary of pediatric patients with all skin diseases.
- We also perform examinations with a digital dermatoscope, treatment with a biostimulation laser, probatory diagnostic and small total excisions, treatment of warts with liquid nitrogen and electrocauterization of small skin formations.
- For serious or rare diseases, we operate as a superconsulted workplace throughout the Czech Republic.
- To be taken into care, we require a recommendation from a pediatrician for children and adolescents or a dermatologist for adults. Before the first examination, the parents have a card issued to patients in the Central File Library on the ground floor of the polyclinic.
- Most of our patients are children with atopic eczema. Successful treatment requires repeated education in regimen measures, which takes a lot of time. Please, in your own interest, respect the proposed inspection dates. With acute treatment without an appointment, we cannot provide all the care needed to set up the long-term treatment of a chronic disease. After acute treatment, the patient will not be taken into our care if the ambulance capacity is full.
- Without an appointment, we only examine patients with acute symptoms (acute infections, generalized exanthemas, swelling, bleeding hemangiomas, tumors), these patients can come to our department between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. and the child will be provided with acute care by one of the doctors. The doctor will decide on the need for acute care as soon as possible after the patient's arrival. STATIM recommendation of a general practitioner does not ensure preferential treatment. It is necessary to expect a considerable waiting time for an acute examination, and even for booked patients, there is often a slippage compared to the booked time due to the seriousness of the condition of the examined children. During the entire working hours, the doctors also carry out consultative examinations in other departments of the FNM.
- In accordance with operational possibilities, we primarily examine only newborns and infants up to 3 months of age

Ordering instructions
- We prefer ordering by phone at 727 971 913 on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Prepare the child's birth number for ordering.
- When ordering by e-mail (detské.kozni@fnmotol.cz) write name, surname, health insurance company, social security number, address, nationality, telephone contact. The examination date is binding. The e-mail address is not used for online consultations.
- The order period varies between 3 and 6 months.
- To accept a patient for long-term dispensary care, we require a recommendation from a general practitioner, possibly another outpatient specialist.
- We treat acute conditions (infections, exanthemas with swelling, bleeding hemangiomas, tumors) between 8 and 11 a.m. without an appointment. The doctor will decide on the need for acute care as soon as possible after the patient's arrival. Itchy or spreading eczema is not a reason for an urgent examination, we need enough time to set up an adequate treatment for eczema, and an appointment is necessary.
- Before the first examination, the card must be registered in the central filing cabinet on the ground floor of the polyclinic.
