Ordering outpatients

Outpatient psychological care for child patients

A psychological outpatient clinic for pediatric patients operates within the Motol University Hospital. Please order exclusively by phone 22443 3840 and between 9-11 and 13-14.

As part of psychological care, we mainly offer psychological examinations, and to a lesser extent psychotherapeutic care. It provides family therapy Family therapy center, where you can order by phone 22443 3478.

A comprehensive program for the diagnosis of autism is provided during hospitalization at the Children's Psychiatric Clinic of the Motol University Hospital, which cannot be arranged through our department.

For the first meeting with a psychologist, it is advisable to bring all the psychological reports that you have from previous examinations in a facility other than Motol University Hospital.

The psychological examination usually takes longer than a regular doctor's examination, so reserve enough time (allow at least two hours).

Unfortunately, currently due to capacity reasons, we cannot provide outpatient psychological and psychotherapeutic care for adult patients who do not have a recommendation from a doctor from the Motol University Hospital.

Cooperation with Medical Clowns

Child program - In addition to the regular clowns, which the Medical Clowns at the Motol University Hospital have been conducting since 2001, this non-profit company also offers several other programs at the Motol Hospital. One of them is clown visits to pediatric patients under the Child program. This program focuses on individual long-term hospitalized children who are attended by one clown (not two, as in regular clowns in specific wards), usually twice a week. In addition to joy, intensive and long-term meetings also help to build trust and facilitate communication for children's patients. With the help of psychologists and doctors, the program includes children who, for example, are waiting for a transplant, who find it more difficult to communicate with staff due to mental status and language barriers. . In its ideal form, the program is designed so that the hospitalized child, in addition to all other specifics of hospitalization, also gets acquainted with the Medical Clown, who then accompanies the patient through various stages of hospitalization, in consultation with doctors and psychologists. Thus, in addition to professional medical and nursing care and the care of his family members, the child can rely on one more supporting pillar - the Medical Clown, an expert in joy and play, a figure who can personify and interpret the hospital environment in a way that helps the patient cope. and get an overview of it.

Research program - As part of the NOS program, we examine the effectiveness of clown interventions in children's anxiety before surgery. We also cooperate with the University of Vienna in this regard.

For those interested in an internship

We provide internships within the Motol University Hospital primarily to colleagues in pre-certification preparation.

Very exceptionally for students. For students who want to do an internship in our department, we have a condition that they have completed a course with an introduction to psychological diagnostics and are at least in the 4th year of study (the first year of the follow-up master's study).

Procedure leading to the establishment of an internship

If you decide that you would like to intern in our department, please first contact the psychologist from the clinic you are interested in internship at (email is always jmeno.prijmeni@fnmotol.cz). If this colleague has the time and space to become the head of your internship, contact the head of the Department of Clinical Psychology.

Please remember that the whole process must take place at least one month before the start of the traineeshipto catch up with this administrative wheel. It is necessary to start the internship with already processed documents.

History

The Department of Clinical Psychology was established by the decision of Mr. JUDr. Ing. Miloslav Ludvík, MBA, No. 4/2006 on the establishment of the Department of Clinical Psychology of the University Hospital in Motol in accordance with the provisions of Article 9, paragraph 2, letter i) of the Organizational Rules for the provision of preventive, diagnostic and psychotherapeutic care at the Motol University Hospital and entered into force on 1.5.2006 May 2006. The Department of Clinical Psychology became operational with the appointment of PhDr. Raudenské, Ph.D. since June 35. The department builds on the XNUMX-year tradition of psychological care at the FNM in pedopsychiatry, pediatric fields and later on younger traditions in somatic fields in adult patients.

The tradition of psychological care in child psychiatry was established with the establishment of the Department of Child Psychiatry (DPK) in 1971, in 2006 the clinic celebrated its 35th anniversary. At the beginning of 1971, the psychologists Mgr. Nečasová and PhDr. Gjuričová at the upcoming department of the child psychiatric clinic. The first months were devoted to research conducted by the first head of DPK, prof. MUDr. Fischer. At that time, in the early 70s, psychologist PhDr. Milada Nováková at the Institute of Child Research and Development. The contribution of the psychiatrist and at the same time the psychologist of Dr. Špitz, the founder of family therapy work and education, whose legacy is now continued by the Center for Family Therapy (PhDr. Gyuričová, MUDr. Brodová, Mgr. Nečasová), is interesting for psychological history. Thanks to the psychotherapeutic and psychological education of Dr. Špitz, the concept of community treatment of children's patients (treatment by the environment) was created at DPK and the emphasis on family therapy began to develop. Psychologists who have worked here in the past, as well as current psychologists, consider this concept to be very meaningful. This concept was very modern at the time, integrating new trends in the treatment of pediatric patients, and significantly influenced the thinking and attitude of psychiatrists to the treatment of pediatric patients (for many, for example, Prim.Moutr.Koutek, MUDr.Zámečníková and others). From the psychiatric psychologists, for example, PhDr. Mlčochová-Holejšovská, PhDr. Kubička, PhDr. Valášek and others. At present, psychological care at DPK is represented in clinical diagnostic and psychotherapeutic care by PhDr. Bechynova, PhDr. Kopeckou, Mgr. Juráňová and Doc. PhDr. Kocourková. Psychologists also participate in research activities. Doc. PhDr. Kocourková works as a teacher at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University. Psychologists in the outpatient clinic of the Children's Psychiatric Clinic at the Motol Children's Polyclinic have been working since its establishment in 1979. Originally, there was a team consisting of two psychiatrists (Prim. MUDr. Fibichová and MUDr. Holečková), two psychologists and two social workers. For example, psychologists PhDr. Plášil, PhDr.Valášek, PhDr.Krušinová, PhDr.Mačasová, PhDr.Toužimská, Mgr.Nečasová, PhDr.Gjuričová, PhDr.Fabíková. Under the influence of Prim. Spitz, children's and parents' psychotherapeutic groups began to develop. Sociologist Dr. Bubleová-Dunovská worked here for a short time. At present, one psychiatrist, two psychologists, PhDr. Fabíková and Mgr. Nečasová, one child nurse and social worker. PhDr. Gjuričová and Mgr. Nečasová work in the Family Therapy Center.

Psychological care for pediatric patients in pediatrics was already provided in Karlovy Vary at the 1971st Children's Clinic of prof. MUDr. Swiss. The so-called "educational department" was established here, headed by MUDr. Trnka, the psychologist here was PhDr. Hermanová. After the relocation of both clinics (I. and II. Children's clinic) from Karlovy Vary to Motol, prof. MUDr. Polacek. Psychologist PhDr. Kňourková worked here, and in 1974 she joined the then Faculty of Pediatrics. At this time, PhDr. Sladečková, PhDr. Komersová-Pekárková and PhDr. Los, since 1975 PhDr. Nesrstová. The clinic's psychologists also took part in teaching and publishing activities. The head of the 1978nd Children's Clinic in the 70s was prof. Hošťek, MD, has been working at this clinic since 1973 as a psychologist, Dr. Krejčová. The already mentioned PhDr. Nováková, later PhDr. Vyhnálek, worked as psychologists at the Institute of Child Development Research at the 70nd Children's Clinic. The psychologists of the 2003nd Children's Clinic specialized in psychological care for patients with endocrine, hematological and respiratory diseases, and the 2005st Children's Clinic provided psychological care for endocrinopathies. Psychologists of the 2005st Children's Clinic cared mainly for patients with severe asthma, polytrauma, Rey's syndrome, and research was conducted in children with mild brain dysfunction. At the end of the 1986s, a dialysis transplant center was established at the 1990st Children's Clinic, and psychologists who worked there also collaborated with the families of children's patients (Club of Parents and Friends of Children on Dialysis and After Transplantation, Holiday Dialysis). From the beginning, PhDr. Nesrstová, later Mgr. Chladová, briefly PhDr. Pekárková, since XNUMX-XNUMX Mgr. Kleinová, since XNUMX Mgr. Walterová. In the years XNUMX-XNUMX, the Center of Psychologists was established in the Motol University Hospital, the first in the country, whose head was appointed PhDr. Nesrstová from the then XNUMXst Children's Clinic. During the operation of the Psychological Center, the hospital hosted so-called Boston seminars with the active participation of psychologists. Currently, Mgr. Walterová, PhDr. Nesrstová, PhDr. Krejčová and Mgr. Chladová, who participates in the activities of the club for children with cystic fibrosis. PhDr. Nesrstová cooperates at the Children's Polyclinic with the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition.

In the 80's she worked at the Children's Dental Clinic PhDr. Semerádová, at the Children's Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Clinic PhDr.Sauerová, a psychologist at the Children's Rehabilitation Clinic also had a small time. After their departure in the late 80s, the Oncology Clinic of Psychology did not have and used the consulting services of psychologists from the Pediatric Clinic. In the mid-2003s, the Department of Psychosocial Care was established at the Department of Oncology, which was headed by a child psychiatrist, and later psychologist PhDr. Bures. Mgr.Víchová has been working at the Department of Pediatric Oncology since 1991. The Haima Foundation, which was established in 1993 and financed a number of activities for hematological patients, has enabled psychologist PhDr. Reichs. In 2004, the Department of Oncology merged with the hematology department, and a psychosocial care department was established at the established Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology in 2006, which currently includes two psychologists, a game specialist, a psychosocial worker with therapeutic training and a special pedagogue. PhDr. Pazourková, PhDr. Kateřina Chamoutová, later Mgr. Maulisová, PhDr.Tošnerová. PhDr. Vyymlátilová still works at the Phoniatric Department for Children. Mgr. Doležalová works with children and their families at the Children's Surgery Clinic.
Clinical psychologists in the somatic fields in the adult part of the hospital began working in individual departments and clinics as part of a biopsychosocial approach to patients hospitalized at the FNM. The longest history of psychological care in the adult part of the Motol University Hospital is represented by the work of PhDr. Jung at the Neurological Clinic for Adults, where he has been working since 1977.

In the early 80s, clinical psychologist PhDr. Míková. In the mid-80s, PhDr. Semerádová. The situation in the psychological care of adult patients in somatic disciplines at the Motol University Hospital has been gradually improving since the late 90s and the middle of the second millennium. For example, in 1995 a Center for the Treatment and Research of Painful Conditions was established at the National Hospital, where the psychologist PhDr. Knotek, CSc, has been a part of the team since the beginning. Prim. MUDr. Based on foreign experience, Kozák always understood the treatment of chronic pain as multidisciplinary, in which psychological care is important. Since 2006, PhDr.Raudenská, PhD, has been cooperating with the Center for the Treatment and Research of Painful Conditions. Also thanks to Doc.MUDr.Drábková, who has always personally promoted the positive contribution of the work of a clinical psychologist in the comprehensive care of patients on long-term lung ventilation, psychological care has been provided at OCHRIP since 1998 Mgr. Woleskou. In the early 90s, clinical psychologist PhDr. Škorpilová worked briefly in the long-term care hospital. From the 70s until 1990, PhDr. Pihrtová and Mgr. Kulhánek, since 90 she has provided psychological services to PhDr. Jílková.

At the beginning of the first years of the second millennium, clinical psychologists also started working in the adult part of the FNM in other somatic fields. The need for psychological care arose here from the nursing staff, who understood the need for professional psychological support in enrolling patients not only in the lung transplant program, but also in other psychosocial problems of patients before and after transplantation. With the establishment of the Department of Clinical Psychology in June 2006, consular psychological care is better provided in the adult part of the Motol University Hospital.
