Basic information
The department deals with the treatment of chronic pain of oncological and non-oncological origin. He hospitalizes particularly serious cases in the inpatient part. A multidisciplinary core team with a multidisciplinary focus (algesiologist, psychologist, neurologist, rehabilitation experts) participates in the care. In the treatment of chronic pain, the workplace uses non-invasive and invasive procedures: psychotherapy, psychological techniques, RHB methods, anesthesiology techniques. The department participates in undergraduate (within the Department of RHB and TVL 2.LF UK and FN Motol) and postgraduate (IPVZ). He works closely with rehabilitation and other FNM clinics. The department participates in cooperation with the SSLB committee on the introduction of new therapeutic and examination procedures, on the promotion of the field of algesiology (pain treatment). The workplace is a neuromodulation center that performs spinal and peripheral nerve stimulation and radiofrequency techniques.

Ambulance
There are 2 ambulances in the department area (3nd floor, node B). Patients are ordered on the telephone number 224 435 583 between 9.00 am and 14.00 pm The patient must be referred for examination by a general practitioner or another attending physician. Examination of a new patient takes about 60 minutes, control examination is shorter.

Inpatient department
In particularly complex cases or where the methods used require hospitalization of the patient, the department uses the allocated 6 beds from the Rehabilitation Clinic's fund.
