The mission is summarised by the motto:\u00a0<strong>Serving generations<\/strong>. The vision for the future is to make the hospital the &#8220;flagship&#8221; of the Czech healthcare system in the field of general and specialised care. An effective hospital management system, including a continuous quality improvement plan, is essential to fulfilling the mission and vision.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>provides basic, specialised and highly specialised health care and services in medical fields, in the form of outpatient and inpatient care for children, adults and the elderly<\/li>\n<li>is the <strong>largest<\/strong> medical facility in the Czech Republic<\/li>\n<li>the buildings consist of 2 interconnected main blocks and several separate pavilions &#8211; it has 2,231 beds<\/li>\n<li>treats <strong>more than one million patients<\/strong> per year on an outpatient basis<\/li>\n<li><strong>treats over 77,000 patients<\/strong> a year at the bedside<\/li>\n<li>has more than 6000 staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<!-- \/Text block H1 -->\n\n<!-- Text block - blue background -->\n<div class=\"content blue\" data-aos=\"fade-up\" data-aos-delay=\"50\">\n            <h2>Vision and Mission<\/h2>\n                <div>\n            <p>Serving generations and helping children when others cannot.<\/p>\n<p>The Teaching Hospital in Motol will become a University Hospital &#8211; one of the key Czech and European accredited institutions, economically stable and scientifically innovative, providing patients with comprehensive health care at an internationally comparable level from prenatal to old age &#8211; which will be friendly to its patients, visitors, students and staff.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<!-- \/Text block -
