{"id":7760,"date":"2024-05-20T22:56:56","date_gmt":"2024-05-20T20:56:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fnmotol.cz\/o-nas\/osetrovatelstvi\/"},"modified":"2024-12-01T19:31:48","modified_gmt":"2024-12-01T18:31:48","slug":"osetrovatelstvi","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fnmotol.cz\/en\/o-nas\/osetrovatelstvi\/","title":{"rendered":"Nursing"},"content":{"rendered":"<!-- Text block H1 -->\n<div class=\"content\" data-aos=\"fade-up\">\n            <h1>Nursing<\/h1>\n                    <div>\n            <p>The aim of <strong>nursing<\/strong> is to provide good quality and effective nursing care to all inpatients and outpatients at the Motol University Hospital.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<!-- \/Text block H1 -->\n\n<!-- Text block - blue background -->\n<div class=\"content \" data-aos=\"fade-up\" data-aos-delay=\"50\">\n            <h2>In line with the main objective, the hospital management focuses primarily on:<\/h2>\n                <div>\n            <ul>\n<li>support for training non-medical health professionals,<\/li>\n<li>improving the quality of nursing care and patient safety in the hospital,<\/li>\n<li>improving communication between health professionals,<\/li>\n<li>good communication with patients, their families and the public,<\/li>\n<li>improving the hospital environment in terms of aesthetics and safety,<\/li>\n<li>operational security during the next phase of the DFN reconstruction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Modern nursing is an independent scientific discipline that is formed by a system of specific scientific knowledge and a method of practice. It forms an integral part of healthcare. The basic objectives of nursing are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>maintaining and promoting health;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>getting back to health and developing self-sufficiency;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>alleviating the suffering of the terminally ill and ensuring the final journey towards death is peaceful and dignified.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The essence of the nursing profession is active care to provide for the needs of the sick. The characteristic feature is a holistic approach tailored towards the patient&#8217;s personality. Nursing care focuses on individual patient care and uses the nursing process method. Nursing, in today&#8217;s sense of the word, is thus not just carrying out the doctor&#8217;s orders and providing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, but a professional and independent activity performed by erudite workers professionally skilled in various specialties.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<!-- \/Text block - blue background -->\n\n<!-- Text block - blue background -->\n<div class=\"content blue\" data-aos=\"fade-up\" data-aos-delay=\"50\">\n                <div>\n            <p><strong>Nursing care is provided by:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>general nurses, midwives, specialist nurses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nursing care involves:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>medical assistants, nurses, orderlies working under the professional supervision of a nurse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other experts whose work is closely related to nursing are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, nutritional therapists,<\/li>\n<li>medical laboratory technicians, radiology assistants,<\/li>\n<li>public health assistants, pharmaceutical assistants,<\/li>\n<li>dental technicians, dental hygienists, orthoptists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nursing is a specific field that requires specialised knowledge as well as high motivation and morale to perform a demanding profession.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<!-- \/Text block - blue background -->\n\n<!-- Text block - blue background -->\n<div class=\"content \" data-aos=\"fade-up\" data-aos-delay=\"50\">\n            <h2>Nursing care is provided by health professionals:<\/h2>\n                <div>\n            <ul>\n<li>eligible to practice without professional supervision after obtaining their professional competence (they are registered in the Register of Healthcare Professionals)<\/li>\n<li>eligible to practice under professional supervision or direct guidance<br \/>\nThey acquire their eligibility to practice by qualifying from studies at a higher vocational school or university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specialised knowledge and skills are acquired by health professionals in postgraduate studies that focus on specific disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>The MUH has been accredited by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic for a number of educational programmes. It implements programmes for nurses in the field of perioperative care, anaesthesiology, resuscitation and intensive care, nursing care in paediatrics, intensive care in paediatrics, for laboratory technicians in the field of clinical biochemistry, medical immunology, haematology and transfusion services, for health and social workers.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital also organises courses focused on specific issues, such as a certified course on the role of the nurse when providing and caring for vascular access, when providing enteral and parenteral nutrition, an accredited course for paramedics and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Educational programmes and courses are intended for both MUH staff and for interested persons from other medical institutions (more information at www.fnmotol.cz professional public).<\/p>\n<p>As part of the professional development of the hospital&#8217;s medical staff, seminars and other training events are held throughout the year, both at the level of individual departments and at the level of the entire hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Educational events are organised and hosted by a separate education department in cooperation with the Division of the Deputy Director for Nursing Care.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<!-- \/Text block -
