Your child will undergo a number of procedures under local or general anesthesia before and during cancer treatment, which are necessary for accurate diagnosis and ongoing assessment of treatment response.

Here we would like to introduce you to the procedures that we perform most often, and usually directly at the examination room of the department.

You can read detailed information about the procedure in the informed consent that you will receive for signing, and of course also from your child's attending physician.

  • Examination of cerebrospinal fluid allows the collection of lumbar puncture.
  • Bone marrow collection from the hip shovel for a detailed examination is called trepanobiopsy.
