Principles of staying at the clinic

The principles of staying at the clinic also contain some recommended procedures. Please believe that their purpose is not to limit you or your child, but to help you and sick children as much as possible.

The following information serves as a brief overview.

Our team of nurses and doctors is at your disposal to obtain more detailed information about the operation of the clinic and your child's regime in cancer treatment.

Low bacterial diet

  • During treatment, the patient should avoid a diet that may contain bacteria and fungi.
  • Our children are not allowed to eat dairy products with live bacterial culture (probiotic drinks, yoghurts with probiotic culture). They should also avoid mold cheeses and nuts, which may contain mold. You can read everything about the recommended diet in a clear way table.
  • Strict diet must be followed by transplant patients, details can be found on the association's portal Donor.

Flowers

  • Cut flowers and potted plants are not allowed in our department. The reason is the risk of transmission of bacteria and fungi to the patient, whose defenses are significantly weakened during acute treatment.
