The dermatovenerology department is now located on the 10th floor in the children's section of the hospital.
Lymphatic drainage, phototherapy and operating room remain on the 3rd floor, node D.

The dermatovenerological (skin) department provides care in the entire spectrum of skin and venereal diseases to patients from all over the Czech Republic. He specializes in dermatological oncology (skin cancer, pre-tumor conditions), including skin lymphomas, dermatological allergology and occupational skin diseases, medical mycology (skin diseases caused by fungi and fungi), lymphology (congenital and acquired lymphatic edema of the limbs), corrective dermatology . The department treats and dispensaries patients with venereal diseases. We use a digital dermatoscope (examination of birthmarks with a digital record) from modern examination methods. The department is a center for biological treatment and a center for the treatment of cutaneous lymphomas. Among the treatment methods, there is a modern operating room for performing surgical procedures on the skin (total excision, probation excision, nail surgery), corrective dermatological procedures, phototherapeutic hospital (light therapy). We have a high-performance laser brand Fotona XS - Erb: YAG (minor skin procedures) or Nd: YAG (catheters, warts, telangiectasia, etc.). The department, in cooperation with transplant centers, monitors and dispenses patients after organ transplants.
We examine patients by prior telephone order.
The waiting time for an outpatient examination or surgery ranges from 1 to 4 months on average (depending on the type of outpatient clinic). We examine patients without prior appointment only for serious, life-threatening conditions (febrile conditions associated with skin infections, acute skin infections, e.g. rose, generalized exanthemas associated with shortness of breath, acute facial swelling, etc.). These patients can come for an examination at the department during office hours, the waiting time for treatment can vary in the order of several hours.
Appointment of patients from 7.00 - 8.00 and 14.30 - 15.30 (Wednesday), from 7.00 - 8.00 and 12.00 - 13.00 (Friday), from 7.30 - 15.30 (other days). Patients with sexually transmitted diseases are examined and treated in the venereology outpatient clinic. According to the method of transmission, they are divided into:
- classic venereal diseases subject to mandatory reporting, registration, screening and dispensary treatment.
- other sexually transmitted diseases (especially urogenital infections caused by chlamydia, mycoplasmas and other pathogens).
These diseases have a close interdisciplinary connection with related fields of medicine, especially with gynecology, the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Urology, with which we cooperate.

The outpatient clinic examines patients with suspected contact hypersensitivity and patients with suspected occupational skin disease. The examination is performed using epicutaneous tests, which are usually applied to the skin of the back. Standard allergen kits are used for testing. In addition to the European basic set, we use specialized sets (dental set, set of local anesthetics, rubber chemicals, cosmetics preservatives and more). Tests are read after 48, 72, 96,168 hours. Closing the tests is one week after gluing. If the tests are positive, the patient is instructed, equipped with an allergy card and information leaflets.

The outpatient clinic deals with the examination and regular monitoring of pigment changes on the skin, benign and malignant tumors. The advantage of examination with a digital dermatoscope is the magnification of the examined speech several times and its archiving in a computer for further inspections.

Diagnostic probation excisions, total excisions of marks, skin tumors, removal of atheromas, cysts, lipomas, abrasion of seborrheic warts and surgeries on nails, especially in ingrown nails, are performed in the operating room.

The outpatient clinic treats patients with acne, signs of skin aging, wrinkles, skin growths, small hemangiomas, dilated blood vessels, etc. We perform chemical peeling with concentrated glycolic acid. Fibromas, hemangiomas and telangietasia are removed by diathermocoagulation or laser treatment.

Patients (children and adults) with primary and secondary lymphatic edema and lipohypertrophy are examined and dispensed in the outpatient clinic. The outpatient clinic works closely with experts from the Department of Imaging Methods, Nuclear Medicine and Surgery, and other fields. Following the results of the examination, patients are included in the lymphatic drainage treatment program at the lymphotherapy hospital. The patient undergoes lymphatic drainage as indicated by the doctor. Instrumental lymphatic drainage with the PNEUVEN BEVUK instrument and manual lymphatic drainage, antifibrotic touches, are performed. The outpatient clinic specializes in disabilities of children with congenital lymphedema and hemihypertrophies.

Phototherapy is an integral part of dermatological treatment, it uses UVA and UVB radiation of the spectrum, alone or in combination with internally or externally applied drugs. The indication spectrum of phototherapy is relatively wide. The following diagnoses are most often indicated for phototherapy: atopic eczema, psoriasis, lichen, pruritus, palmoplantar psoriasis, vitiligo, skin lymphomas and many others.

The ambulance deals with a wide range of nail diseases in addition to onychomycosis (fungal disease), we specialize in the treatment of ingrown nails, laser treatment of onychomycosis. In patients with onychomycosis, we perform mycological samples followed by microscopic and culture examinations. Depending on the extent of the disability, local or general treatment is then recommended to patients. For other patients, we perform biopsy examinations from the nail walls, specialized nail procedures.
