 Brief description of the project:

The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of the medical waste treatment facility on the premises of the University Hospital in Motol in the territory of the Capital City of Prague.

It is a modernization of selected parts of the technological combustion plant in order to increase the capacity of the incinerator so that the value of the set indicator is met in accordance with the call of the OPE.

The hazardous waste incinerator at the University Hospital in Motol has long been in an unsatisfactory technical condition. Without a thorough modernization of the technological equipment and without the restoration of the automation of the operation, the output of the incinerator would be significantly reduced. The project addresses the increase of combustion plant capacity through investment in the reconstruction of external waste silos, investment in the modernization of liquid waste incineration plants, a new control system focusing on automation of measurement and control (MaR), and a set of measures to ensure the necessary increase capacity. This is an investment in the installation of a primary air blower, cooling exchangers, continuous flue gas monitoring and nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction equipment.

The implementation of the project will improve waste management and increase capacity by 300 t / year.

This project is co-financed by the European Union - Cohesion Fund under the Operational Program Environment.
