Structure
FN Motol Hospital Pharmacy (NL FN Motol) is a hospital pharmacy with specialist workplaces in the sense of the decree on substantive and technical requirements for medical facilities and SÚKL classification. It is a fixed organizational part of the Faculty Hospital in Motol since the early nineties, before that it was part of the Pharmacy Service at the ÚNZ of the capital city of Prague. It is one of the largest pharmacies in the Czech Republic, employing a total of 111 employees (46 pharmacists, 37 pharmaceutical assistants, 28 other workers). It deals with the dispensing and preparation of medicines for outpatients and inpatients. We prepare non-sterile and sterile medicines, including cytostatics. We also deal with bulk preparation in batches. In addition to the input, output and inter-operational control of prepared medicines, our control laboratory also produces laboratory solutions and other chemicals. Don't overlook the offer of medical devices, which we issue on vouchers and in the form of free sales. We are also involved in ensuring the proper handling of medicines in clinical trials. In the field of pedagogic activities, we are devoted to colleagues in undergraduate education at the faculties of pharmacy and the Voš University of Applied Sciences - the field of pharmaceutical assistant in the form of internships and the training of experts as part of the specialized education of pharmacists, for which we are an accredited workplace.
The hospital pharmacy is divided into individual departments to ensure its individual special activities, as shown in the diagram.
Each department has its head, who is a pharmacist with the appropriate specialization (certification) and a departmental pharmaceutical assistant, also with a specialization. The heads of all departments report directly to the chief pharmacist. The chief pharmacist is a direct subordinate of the director of the Motol University Hospital.

It is a separate workplace of the pharmacy in the "blue building", ie the part of the Motol University Hospital intended primarily for adult patients. It mainly deals with the dispensing of prescription drugs without it, consultations for patients.

This department deals with aseptic preparation of parenteral medicinal products containing cytotoxic substances. These drugs are used primarily for cancer patients.

This department deals with the preparation of sterile drugs with the exception of cytostatics and eye drops with an antimicrobial additive. Teaching
The Motol Hospital Pharmacy is an accredited workplace for several fields of specialized education of pharmacists. He also participates in the preparation of students, especially the fifth year of pharmaceutical faculties, high school students - the field of pharmaceutical assistant and others.
Those interested in the internship can contact the head pharmacist (pharmacists, students of pharmaceutical faculties) or the head pharmaceutical assistant (students of high school - field of pharmaceutical assistant).
Research and publication activities are focused on aspects of drug preparation, drug interactions, aspects of drug use in the population.

Location
The headquarters building of FN Motol houses the management of the hospital pharmacy and the following departments: Department of individually prepared medicinal products, Department of mass-produced medicinal products, Department of control and preparation of laboratory diagnostics, Department of preparation of sterile drugs, Department of central preparation of cytostatics, Department of dispensing I., Department of medical resources.
The Dispensing Department II is located in the main hall of the adult part of the hospital (ground floor, blue building).
