The largest center of its kind in the Czech Republic provides comprehensive care for patients with soft tissue sarcoma or suspected of this disease. Our workplace, in cooperation with other Motol General Hospital clinics, provides diagnostics, therapy, post-operative care and long-term follow-up of patients.
Soft tissue sarcomas are a rare group of diseases requiring a highly specialized and individual approach, the long-term goal of our office is to provide centralized care for patients with this disease throughout the Czech Republic.
Our effort is to spread the awareness of the broad medical community across specialties that a patient with a suspected lesion that is localized in the depth of soft tissues or a surface lesion larger than 5 centimeters should be referred to specialized workplaces.
Centralization of patients with soft tissue sarcomas is a basic prerequisite for successful treatment.
Our center conducts research into the tumor microenvironment in order to develop modern therapeutic protocols for immunotherapy treatment.
